Global Consumer Products Company Selects KC
Kimberly-Clark leases 450,000-square-foot intermodal facility in Johnson County
July 16, 2007 – KANSAS CITY – Kimberly-Clark selected KC for its new distribution center. The company’s decision will result in 60 jobs.
Kimberly-Clark will lease the newly constructed 450,000-square-foot facility on a 40-acre site from national developer First Industrial Realty Trust, Inc.
As intermodal facilities, such as New Century AirCenter, become desirable options for distribution centers, KC frequently appears on the short list of site opportunities.
The Johnson County Commissioners approved the project in April 2007. With ground work underway, New Century AirCenter and Kimberly-Clark expect to open the building in November.
